Waterbabies (Ages 3 months - preschool)
Waterbabies adult & child lessons are suitable for babies from 4 months to pre-school children. The carefully planned lessons use songs and games to introduce the fundamentals of learning to swim in the most enjoyable way possible.
Seahorses (Stage 1: Ages 3-5)
The Seahorses class is designed for children aged 3 – 5 years. In this class, the children learn water confidence, breathing, basic propulsion techniques and floating on their back. This class is about enjoying the water and becoming confident to swim a short distance unaided.
Frogs (Stage 2: Ages 5-7)
The Frogs class is designed for children who have had some experience in the water and need to improve their confidence and strength.
Frogs classes are focused on propulsion and breathing. All classes use fun activities to encourage water confidence and basic swimming technique.
Whales (Stage 3: Ages 5-9)
Beginning the correct swimming technique for all four strokes.
Streamline body position, efficient kicking action and breathing is the focus of this class.
Diving is also covered. The Whales class is technique based. It is designed to be fun and rewarding.
Swordfish (Stage 4: Ages 6-9)
The Swordfish class aims to improve technique, strength and co-ordination over a short distance (25m).
Water safety awareness and survival techniques are a focus of this class.
Dolphins (Stage 5: Ages 7-10)
Dolphins are building on their swimming skills, learning advanced technique and gaining fitness and stamina while swimming longer distances. Butterfly is mastered in this class as well as diving starts and tumble turns. Dolphins can join the Rookies Life saving Courses
Sharks (Stage 6: Ages 8-11)
Sharks are confident and strong swimmers building on their fitness and stamina whilst perfecting their propulsion and breathing techniques in all 4 strokes.
Sharks can progress into the non competitive squads and Rookies Life saving.
Non Competitive Squad
This squad is designed for young people who want to continue refining their swimming ability and fitness. Training sessions are team building, encouraging and enjoyable as well as focusing on performance.
Private Lessons
We offer private lessons to adults and children.
Adult Lessons
The success of these is almost immediate!
Adult lessons are designed around your individual requirements and always taken at your own pace.
Rookies
Rookies Life Saving Courses are preliminary training courses to the Bronze medallion and the NPLQ. Aimed at young people over the age of 8 with competent swimming ability, these courses have the students swimming in their clothes, rescuing others, learning pool and open water awareness, tows, survival swimming strokes, basic first aid and crisis management.
Rookies is not a formal qualification but it provides the basic training required to participate in formal qualification courses in the future.
